Dorothy Gale and her faithful dog Toto are swallowed by a cyclone in the heart of Kansas farmland and end up in the wonderous, magical land of Oz. Dorothy begins her journey to see the magnificent Wizard and meets a fascinating collection of characters on her way. Join Dorothy as she journeys down the Yellow Brick Road, making new friends such as the Scarecrow, who desires for himself a brain, the rusty Tin Woodman, who desires a heart and the Cowardly Lion, who desires courage. Together, the friends encounter several challenges on their way to the Emerald City, including flying monkeys, wicked witches and the elusive enigma that is the Wizard of Oz. Will Dorothy ever be able to return home? The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, one of America’s greatest and most beloved fairy tales, speaks poignantly about what every child needs: Scarecrow’s wisdom, Tin Woodman’s compassion, Lion’s courage and the kindness of a friend like Dorothy.
