Inside The Army is a serious attempt to fill the gap between perception and reality as far as the Army in concerned. People want to know about the Army but either do not know where to get the information from or make do with whatever is available, which is very little. In a democracy, people have a right to know how their Army is doing specially in a country where the Army is frequently called out to bail out the civil administration.It (along with the other two services) is an organisation the masses trust. National security, aspects that impinge on the functioning of the Army, training,handling of manpower and so on are covered to get a ringside view without being in the Army. The Army has been taken for granted for too long and it is time changes are incorporated in the way the Army is looked at the cared for. A brief analysis of the Operation Vijay at Kargil has been included to tell the inside story of this blunder.
