Great Urdu Ghazals Engelska 2011

Great Urdu Ghazals, authored by Kuldip Salil and Prakash Pandit, features 54 Urdu poets. This book contains the best ghazals from the last three centuries, well-researched and documented, and also accompanied by their corresponding English translations. From the 6th century onwards, when ghazals began to be sung, they have been about the different forms of love, between men and women, people and their gods, mothers and their children, and other forms of love and devotion. In order to explain the rhythmic nuances of the ghazals for their patrons to enjoy them fully, the authors have touched upon their origins in the ancient Devanagari and Roman scripts, and the intrinsic beauty of the ghazals when they talk about all forms of love. This book is about these beautiful ghazals that have been translated into Hindi by the authors. Both Prakash Pandit and Kuldip Salil have translated many ghazals from Urdu to Hindi, along with their meanings. They also provide useful insights into the nuances and other intricacies of the ghazals. Salil worked as an English professor at Hans Raj College, Delhi, and has also been awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award. Some of the books he has written are Deewan-e-Ghalib: Ghazals with Original Text and Their English Translation, Best of Faraz, and Best Of Faiz. Prakash Pandit has written books like Majruh Sultanpuri (Hindi), Great Urdu Ghazals (Hindi), Jigar Muradabadi (Hindi), and Meer Taqui Meer (Hindi)
