Mission-Shaped Youth Engelska 2007

This is a critical time for the Church's ministry among young people. Following on from Mission-shaped Church, this book examines what it means to have a 'youth-mission-shaped church'. It challenges us to intersect with today's young people in their daily lives and culture. The authors urge us to offer a mission that isn't just about evangelism, but is also about supporting pastorally and spiritually. Using case studies and discussion starters, Mission-shaped Youth examines school- and congregation-baesd projects, projects involving young people outside the church, and creative ways of engaging young people with prayer and sacraments. It also considers the challenges and encouragements for the wider Church and looks at what is emerging for the future. Mission-shaped Youth challenges us to expand our vision beyond the standard mode for youth work, and asks what church should be for young people. If you want to do something new for God and for young people, this book is an essential tool.
