This book introduces several historical sources relevant to Sindh, with a particular emphasis on the eighteenth century. It examines the general set of values of the Sindhi society during the Kalhora period (1701–1783) which determined the historiographic outlook of that era. It also analyses the different historiographic premises to which the Kalhoras subscribed and the individual idiosyncrasies of the contemporary authors. The work has been written with the aim to assist future analysts of the history of Sindh with fresh markers and incentives for reanalysis and interpretation of primary resources of that era.
