Plant Physiology : Research Methods This book 28 Chapters, is divided into 7 Sections. Section I. Seed Physiology, includes 5 chapters describing the strucutre of seed, optimum condtions for seed germination, physiological biochemical changes at cellular level. Section II. Growth and Development, describes leaf area, growth indices, sensescence and abscission. Allelochemicals, present in soil or plant, can create chemical stress which may change the plant water status, plasma membrance properties, chlorophyll stability and waxes present on the organ surface. About Author : Prof. S. S.Narwal, is an Internationally renowned allelopathy scientist. He is the First National Fellow (Allelopathy) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi from 1995-2005. Currently he is the President, Indian Society of Allelopathy and the Chief Editor, Allelopathy Journal.
