The structure of judiciary, the attitude of its organs, and the judicial process have an important bearing on the behaviour of the accused. Also, it presents an elaborate discussion on access to justice and judicial reforms court and case management, and the scenario of backlog of cases. Dr. Vikas H. Gandhi is an Assistant Professor in Law at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. Earlier, he was a lecturer in Law at Shri K.A. Pandhi Law College, Rajkot. Presently he is working on a research project on 'Efficacy of Fast Track Courts, Evening Courts and Nari Adalat' in the state of Gujarat. Also, Dr. Gandhi has to his Credit a good number of research papers and articles published in various newspapers and journals of repute.
