Spiritual healing is the channeling of healing energies through the healer to the patient. It re-energises and relaxes the patient thereby enabling their own natural resources to deal with illness or injury in the best possible way. It restores the balance of body, mind and spirit of the patient. This book illustrates the theory and practice of healing with examples from the author's vast experience as a healing practitioner. Tracing the history of spiritual healing, it explains the spiritual nature of healing; meditation and its exercises; etheric, invisible and physical bodies: the energy centres; grounding, attunement, cleansing and healing; breath and breathing; stress; and body language. The wonderful effects of spiritual healing on the patient have also been highlighted. A registered National Federation of Spiritual Healers (NFSH) trained healer, Pat Smith runs a healing centre in West London. She has chaired an NFSH healing centre for six years and taught healing at Richmond Upon Thames College. She also teaches meditation at the London Buddhist Vihar in Chiswick. Pat is a member of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers. She was elected Vice-president of kent International Healing Association in October 2007.
