Manufacturing Processes (UPTU) English 2014

This book was written to fulfil a specific need effective from 2008-09 session, UPTU had introduced the subject of "Manufacturing Processes" for first year Engineering students of all streams. This book covered the wide syllabus in a distilled form.The syllabus has been revised recently. The third edition of the book covers the new syllabus fully. New chapters have been added in units I and IV and some materials not required now has been deleted, so that the reader is not burdened unnecessarily. New text has also been added where considered necessary. A description of iron carbon diagram has been added so that principles behind heat–treatment of steels are fully understood.As before, the subject matter in the third edition has been presented in a brief and lucid form. Students should be able to peruse the text from cover to cover easily in the short time of a semester.
