Indian ARTILLERY 1748-1947 English 2026

Indian Artillery 1748-1947: Historical Records & Regimental Iconography of Indian Artillery fills a long-neglected void in South Asian military history, presenting for the first time a comprehensive record of Indian Artillery regiments from 1748 to 1947. Tracing their evolution through the Presidency Armies, the celebrated Mountain Batteries, the Artillery of the Indian States, and the Auxiliary Force (India), it also documents the wartime expansions and disbandments that have shaped their destinies. Richly supported by rare archival material, original iconography, and period imagery, it records in detail each regiment's lineage, insignia, battle honours, and honour titles-many revealed here for the first time.
