Did the realist in you read Mission-Shaped Church and think ‘how can our ordinary church aspire to this?’ If so, this book is for you.
Mission-Shaped Parish looks at the bread-and-butter things that churches regularly do, through the lens of mission. It takes a fresh look at a typical parish church’s worship, pastoral contacts, civic and public responsibilities, faith nurturing opportunities, its administration and government – and creatively points to how all of this can be seen from the point of view God’s mission.
