Baba Hari Dass is a monk, does not speak. The practice of keeping silence is called mauna, in Sanskrit. Its aim is less about silencing the voice and more about silencing the mind which as we know tends to be filled with worries, desires and clinging. We are privileged to be touched through this book with advice and teachings of a spiritual master who out of that silence, gives form to the unexplainable and sheds light on our daily life predicaments. Babaji writes, there is an inner silence. It cannot be heard by the ears, only by the heart.
