The book is a collection of 18 short stories. They deal with a variety of subjects, many of them drawn from everyday life pandemic and swine flu, love and marriage, art and sports, etc. The stories are populated with ordinary people and narrate the ups and downs of their lives. The characters may draw the empathy of readers as they are shown by the writer to cope with the pressures of life and conflict in relationships. The stories are steeped in a welter of emotions love, loneliness, cruelty, guilt, betrayal and others that make us feel vulnerable and fearful. The readers will hopefully find the style and technique of storytelling employed by the writer compelling enough to turn the pages. While in some stories, I have adopted a straightforward linear and chronological mode of narration, there are others which are unconventional in form and narration. The stories are cast in many genres realistic, speculative, fantastic, and psychological. As a writer, there is a great deal one wants to achieve in one's writing; perhaps, and paradoxically, it is in failing, less or more, to meet the reader's expectations of a good read , that the writer meets the hope and despair of his calling.
