Ali Faateh was my younger brother who passed away at the age of twenty-nine in 2021. He was not just a brother, he was a best-friend. His death left a hollow in my soul, and this book, ‘Dear Ali Faateh: Conversations with my dead brother’ is my attempt to cope with my loss. These diary entries helped me deconstruct how I felt and in time, helped me realize a world without him.
