This memoir explores Tesfamikael’s participation in the Eritrean struggle for independence. Titled as “My Struggle: in Three Organizations”, it starts from the first half of 1970s when he was a young high school student and got recruited as a member of a cell that collected information in Asmara for Eritrean Liberation Front. He then joined the armed struggle and fought in several battles. After leaving for Europe, he continues to organize Eritrean communities who supported the Eritrean cause for independence.
