In 2006 the artist Esther Shalev-Gerz created a relational art project in Bergsjön, Göteborg, Sweden. The project was unique in its ability to unite very different people, with different cultural origins and convictions around the idea of a Place of Art.
This volume describes, analyses and documents the processes around The Place of Art.
The Place of Art exhibition simultaneously took place between November 2006 and January 2007 at the Bergsjön Centrum where a video installation (16 mn) was shown and at the Göteborgs Konsthall where an installation of four videos (40 mn) was exhibited.
