Taking the opportunity to study the original diary of Linnaeus at the Linnaean Society, Burlington House in London, Marita Jonsson has photographed the text, page by page, including a few never published sketches by Linnaeus´hand. She followed up her research in the archives by travelling around the island of Gotland in 2005 and 2006 visiting the same sites that Linnaeus saw. What makes this book of special interest is that it shows the landscape and sites as Linnaeus visited them in 1741.
