Al-Mukhtasar al-Awsat fi al-Mutiq is the most detailed logical independent work of Ibn Sina, although it is not the most detailed logical work of Ibn Sina, because the logic of the Book of Healing is more detailed than it. In this book, the most important chapters of logic, i.e. the sections of introduction, categories, statements, analogies, and proofs are given, and other chapters are discussed in detail except the chapter on categories, which is briefly mentioned in it. From the comparison of this book and the logic of healing, it is clear that the summary was the initial framework on which the logic of healing was built and its topics were expanded in Shafa, although sometimes some topics are given in more detail than the logic of healing. The clearness of the language compared to the language of healing logic, detailed headings in different chapters, special opinions on some issues, observation of Aristotle's words in each chapter, and respect for educational dignity are among the characteristics of this book.
Al-Mukhtasar al-Awsat fi al-Muntiq has been published as the third work of the research project of critical revision of Ibn Sina's works. Before this work, the books al-Taliqat with the introduction, research, and corrections of Seyyed Hossein Mousavian and al-Mabakharat with the introduction and corrections of Mohsen Bidarfar were published in the form of Ibn Sina's collection of works.
