Abbey Road, London, 1988. On the sidewalk near the famous studio where the Beatles recorded their last album, we meet Sal Edard, a self-obsessed young historian who sees everything and nothing, and nothing happens that he doesn't. we find in the middle of the playground seeing and not seeing/being seen and not being seen. The game is not limited to London and Londoners, together with the year we go to East Berlin in 1988, which is barely breathing under the heavy shadow of the wall, and Stasi, and we get to know other players through his not very reliable narration. The Man Who Saw Everything is about the difficulty of seeing yourself and others clearly. Here, Levy crosses the vast scope of human imagination and at the same time artfully erases the sexual and political binaries of East and West, past and present, to reveal the full spectrum of our world.
